We need a LARGE turnout to protest outside the Redmond City Hall on Tuesday, April 16th, at 6pm. This is critical. If we can’t demonstrate significant opposition to the city council’s reckless decision, we won’t be able to exert enough pressure on them to be transparent, listen to public input, and address the community’s concerns regarding public safety.

Please sign up below so that we can track how many will be there on April 16th.

The city needs to know that we want transparency on these transactions. We want a say in the standards by which this or any facility that is SUPPORTIVE housing is maintained. There is a difference between supportive and affordable, and they should not be confused. The requirements of getting help for these people in an accountable manner is humane and necessary for the quality of life and safety of the current residents of this city. The giving away of property without citizen input is not acceptable especially in prime location and after purchasing it only a few years ago. This does not show good planning or use of tax dollars which happens to be OUR money. The outside connections to various groups impacted by these decisions besides the citizens SHOULD be disclosed or those involved recuse themselves for conflict of interest.

My exact feelings this council and Mayor has no integrity. They have broken trust this is not the mayor on the council personal playground. They are going to be accountable to those of us who care.

Having that facility in such a close proximity to the schools is very dangerous. Who is going to maintain safety of all the kids in the area? Are we hiring more Police officers to patrol the area or there will be one station at all times at that facility? Are we going to turn highly desirable and safe area to a city where kids will be afraid to walk outside? Where are the money for this project are coming from? Why was that not on our ballot? Are we becoming a City people will be moving away from to keep their families safe?
