Another email discussed buffering due to the close proximity to schools

Officers at the Redmond Police Department also had concerns about the Redmond HTH

More evidence that the City of Redmond gave the county instruction on where to buy the hotel. Mayor Birney has been denying her involvement for months. She has been lying to the public.

Worth pointing out: the Hampton Inn is 660 feet from one school and 700 feet from another, yet the City recommended it to KC. The mayor simply does not care about our kids’ safety.

“based on the conversation between the Mayor and the County Exec, King County is moving with negotiating a purchase and sale agreement between King County and the owner of the Silver Cloud Inn.  “

And King County staff confirmed that if you simply became homeless due to financial hardship, you are not qualified to live at the Redmond HTH. You have to be needing long-term high level of services in order to qualify.
